Welcome CSS Master of Science in Counseling (MSC) Students!

The University of Phoenix (UOPX) College of Social Sciences (CSS) offers the Master of Science in Counseling (MSC) degree program which includes Practicum site placements to allow students the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in the field. To ensure that students gain the experience, skills, and supervision necessary for a successful site placement during MSC Practicum courses, the CCC and Lead Faculty Area Chairs have been appointed to screen and approve appropriate sites.

This website is designed to assist MSC students in locating an approved site. Sites listed in this MSC Practicum Site Directory have been reviewed and approved by the Lead Faculty Site Supervisors who have judged that the agency and its supervisor are appropriate to provide a clinical experience consistent with the University’s philosophy of training, BBS law, and student skill levels. Each listing provides contact information for the site.

The Directory is updated as new information is received regarding new and current sites. If you wish to gain hours at a site which is not listed in the Practicum Site Directory, you must contact the Lead Faculty Placement Coordinator to petition for site approval at least four months prior to your enrollment in Practicum.

Therefore, students are encouraged to check this website frequently for updates, as well as to forward updated information obtained in their placement searches back to their area’s Lead Faculty Placement Coordinator and/or Site Supervisor for updated or revised inclusion in the Practicum Site Directory.
