About Us
For all UOP students in all programs, the faculty member in your current course is your first point of contact for any and all questions or concerns in that course. Students who contact other UOP personnel regarding course questions will be directed to talk with the faculty member first if that has not yet occurred.
Academic Counselors (AC) are available at 800-266-2107 and are students’ first point of contact for questions or concerns that cannot be addressed by the faculty member in your current course. If an AC cannot assist you, s/he will direct your call to someone who can.
As a supplement to these resources, in the BSHS and MSC Programs a Lead Faculty and Faculty Liaison have been assigned to each group of students to provide additional support and guidance to students throughout these programs.
A Lead Faculty member has been assigned to each student group for the purpose of preparing and tracking students’ placements for BSHS FE and MSC Practicum courses. The Lead Faculty member assigned to your group will visit your group during class time to provide your group with an Orientation prior to your group entering the FE or Practicum course. The Orientation will cover the major goals and requirements of the FE or Practicum course, including the qualification for sites and methods for students to locate appropriate sites. Between the Orientation and the time you enter the FE or Practicum course, this Lead Faculty will be your point of contact for questions associated with preparing for the FE or Practicum course and entering your site placement.
A Faculty Liaison has been assigned to each student group to serve the group as a point of contact for questions or concerns that cannot be addressed by the faculty in the course or by an Academic Counselor. All Faculty Liaisons are members of the College Steering Committee. The Liaison assigned to your group will visit your group periodically to check on your program progress.
To find your group’s Lead Faculty and/or Liaison, you will need to know your Group Number. You can find your Group Number located on the top of your class roster or ask your AC. Once you have your Group Number, click the link below, select the worksheet that reflects your program (either BSHS or MSC), find your Group Number, and view the names of the Lead and Liaison assigned to your group. Notice that there is a third worksheet within this excel file that lists the contact information for all Leads and Liaisons.
